GITEKA Kick-off Meeting Held in Tirana

The kick-off meeting for the GITEKA project took place on January 21st, 2025, at the University of New York Tirana. The event was an exciting start to this journey, with the participation of several distinguished guests and stakeholders, marking a significant milestone in the project’s launch.

GITEKA – Study Visit in Cluj-Napoca, Romania

The GITEKA project study visit, hosted by the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, took place from May 12, 2025.

Partners from Albania, Kosovo, Romania, and Poland gathered for this five-day visit to exchange experiences and strengthen collaboration.

The first day started with an informal welcome session, where partners shared their institutions’ Erasmus+ strategies and discussed future partnership opportunities.
UNYT led the project management meeting,
UET presented preliminary findings from student and company questionnaires,
and UNI shared the dissemination plan for the GITEKA project.

Focus group session at Universum College Ferizaj

As part of the GITEKA project (Green Industrial Transformation through Education in Kosovo and Albania), a dynamic focus group session was held on July 4th, 2025 at Universum International College in Ferizaj, in collaboration with UShAF.
This session brought together students, professors, industry experts, and professionals to share ideas on:

🔹 Green manufacturing and sustainable design
🔹 Circular economy and resource efficiency
🔹 Energy transformation and new market dynamics
Their valuable insights will shape new academic modules in software design, architecture, circular economy, and sustainable manufacturing — ensuring they meet real market needs and support a greener future for Kosovo and Albania.
